Support Our Speaker Series

Donate to our on-going “Migration Dialogues” speaker series, which features cutting-edge migration-related research conducted by national experts in disciplines such as Mexican American Studies, Cultural Studies, Sociology, History, Anthropology, Political Science, and Geography.

Support BMI Research

Support existing BMI research projects examining 1) migrant deaths along the US-Mexico border, 2) the social consequences of mass deportation, 3) Binational Barriers to Care, 4) the relationship between immigration enforcement and housing precarity, or 5) educational goal setting behavior among children in transnational families. Donors can also choose to support new, emerging pilot projects conducted by BMI.

Donate to the Binational Migration Institute’s general fund to support graduate student scholarships, academic conference travel, and M.A. & Ph.D. research projects.

Yes. Pledges include a commitment to a specific amount and payment schedule. Pledges may be paid over a period of five years from the time of the commitment in annual, semiannual or quarterly installments. An endowment is a managed investment that provides annual income to meet the current and future needs of students and faculty in the Binational Migration Institute. You can establish an endowment with a gift of cash or stock or through a planned gift, then name the endowment in honor of an individual or organization. Endowments can also support faculty chairs, scholarships, programs or research. Through the investment with the University of Arizona Foundation, the endowment’s annual payout rate equals 4 percent. The minimum amount for an endowment is $25,000.
